crohn's disease

Testimonial - Crohn’s Disease Case No. 4, Mrs. A, aged 38 - this is a case that was published in Dr. Georgiou's book entitled "Curing the Incurable with Holistic Medicine: The Da Vinci Secret Revealed." Main presenting problem: Crohn’s Disease, pericarditis Crohn's disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), is a condition in which the lining of the digestive tract becomes inflamed, causing severe diarrhoea and abdominal pain. The inflammation often spreads deep into the layers of affected tissue. Like ulcerative colitis, another common IBD, Crohn's disease can be both painful and debilitating and sometimes may lead to life-threatening complications. While there's no known medical cure for Crohn's disease, therapies can greatly reduce the signs and symptoms of the disease and even bring about a long-term remission. Two-thirds of people with Crohn’s usually require surgical resection of a part of the intestine. Medical diagnosis: A biopsy from the colon in 2004 reported the following: “Histopathology examination done in July 2004 from the caecum, ascending, descending, transverse and sigmoid colon showed colon mucosa heavily infiltrated by lymphoplasmocytes and eosinophils, with features of cryptitis and isolated crypt destruction with intraluminal abscesses. There was also evidence of epitheliod granuloma formation. The appearances are those of crypts destructive colitis with features compatible with idiopathic (unknown cause) disease and history very much suggestive of Crohn’s Disease”. Blood ESR was 17, indicating an active inflammation in the body. In addition to the Crohn’s disease, the patient had a history of recurrent pericarditis (inflammation of the sac surrounding …

TESTIMONIAL - CANCER OF THE OESOPHAGUS  Case No. 9, Mr. P, aged 80 - this is a case that was published in Dr. Georgiou's book entitled:  "Curing the Incurable with Holistic Medicine: The Da Vinci Secret Revealed." Main presenting problems: Cancer of the oesophagus, chronic osteoarthritis of knee and shoulders, recurring urine infections, intermittent diarrhoea, bowel distention. Medical diagnosis: Oesophageal carcinoma – the report written by the Professor of Gastrointestinal Medicine in the UK said: “he presented with progressive dysphagia over two months with progressive weight loss - after examination it was revealed that he had oesophageal adenocarcinoma beginning at 35 cm and extending for 8 cm across the gastro oesophageal junction. EUS demonstrates that the tumour involves the right pleura, making it T4, with involved peri-oesophageal lymph nodes (N1), but no distant metastases. I have recommended neo-adjuvant chemotherapy with three cycles of ECCap. This provides a slightly prolonged course of treatment, with more opportunity for tumour shrinkage, and also limits the cisplatin dose to avoid toxicity, compared with the standard OE02 schedule.” In August 2006 he had an Ivor Lewis partial oesopagogastrectomy where part of the stomach and oesophagus was removed. In the UK where he lived, he was also diagnosed with osteoarthritic changes in both knee and patello femoral joints. He was given Diclomax anti-inflammatories which he has been taking for 20 years to control the acute pain. Also hypercholestermia with cholesterol levels around 270. His medical history contains information from 1982 when he developed a serious lung …

Causes of Disease There should be some logic to approaching any type of chronic disease whether it be chronic migraines or cancer. Most people agree that it is important to identify and eliminate the CAUSES of the disease, before making any attempt to treat. Most medical doctors are more interested in labelling the symptoms, called a diagnosis, and then using drugs, surgery or radiation to suppress these symptoms. In most cases this may be achieved, but if the causes to these symptoms are still present, then it is only a matter of time before further symptoms appear that are worse than the initial ones. Over time this process leads to further degeneration and chronicity. At the Da Vinci Centre we are interested in identifying and eliminating these causes as we believe that this is the only way to successfully treat the patient, not just the symptoms. After all, the real dis-ease are all the causes, not just the symptoms. The Da Vinci Centre's Treatments are based on the concept: * Chronic diseases, including tumours do not develop in a healthy body with healthy defence, repair and regulatory functions. * Chronic disease, including cancer is encouraged by a specific internal environment which promotes its growth. * This environment develops due to multiple causes and conditions which vary from one individual to the other, this is why identifying and eliminating these causes is so important. * These causes usually remain chronically active even after suppression of the symptoms or removal of the tumour by surgery, radiation, and/or chemotherapy. Hence, the high percentage of recurrence. Dr Georgiou, the Director …

Testimonial - Urinary Tract Infections Case No. 7, Mrs. D, Age: 40 - this is a case that was published in Dr. Georgiou's book entitled "Curing the Incurable with Holistic Medicine: The DaVinci Secret Revealed." Main presenting problem: Asthma, recurrent urinary tract infections, irregular periods, GERD (reflux), spots on face that are permanent, constipation, knee pains, depression. Medical diagnosis: Mrs. D was diagnosed with asthma when she was 5 years old and has been taking cortisone inhalers for many years, along with anti-histamines. She was also diagnosed with Helicobacter pylori and attempts were made to eradicate this with high-doses of antibiotics over a 3-year period. She has also had a number of courses of antibiotics for recurring urinary tract infections. More courses of antibiotics followed recently when red, pussy spots appeared on her face that became permanent. She has a history of GERD, diagnosed by a gastroenterologist and was given hydrogen-proton inhibitors that decrease the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach and relieve symptoms. Knee pains appeared a couple of years ago and she has been taking anti-inflammatories for this symptom too. A histopathology examination of cervical tissue showed obvious minimal dysplasia of the superficial layer with hyperchromatic cells with no mitoses and little underlying inflammation and fibrosis. The diagnosis was: “the appearances are those of koilocytosis of the superficial squamous epithelial cells with minimal nuclear atypicalities compatible with HPV infection.” A DEXA Bone Densitometry report for femur and AP spine diagnosed osteopenia. She was also diagnosed as suffering from depression and …

Testimonial - Acute Gallbladder Colic Case No. 3, Mrs. K, aged 30 - this is a case that was published in Dr. Georgiou's book entitled "Curing the Incurable with Holistic Medicine: The Da  Vinci Secret Revealed." Main presenting problem: Acute Gallbladder Colic due to stone obstruction Medical diagnosis: This patient presented with Acute Gallbladder Colic and acute pains in the liver area which reached the shoulder area. An ultrasound scan taken 8.9.08, showed: “the gallbladder is distended, with a length of 8.5 cm and a transverse diameter of 5.3 cm. There are no large gallstones evident, but there are echogenic contents in the dependent part of the gallbladder, suggestive of bile sludge (on a previous examination, small calculi were identified within the gallbladder). There is mild dilation of the common bile duct, which measures 9mm in diameter, down to the level of the ampulla of vater. The features are in keeping with a partial obstruction to the distal gallbladder, probably as a result of microlithiasis, or bile sludge.” In addition, she presented with blood analysis taken 4.9.08 showing the following elevated enzymes: ALT - (alanine aminotransferase) - was previously called SGPT is more specific for liver damage. The ALT is an enzyme that is produced in the liver cells (hepatocytes) therefore it is more specific for liver disease than some of the other enzymes. It is generally increased in situations where there is damage to the liver cell membranes. All types of liver inflammation can cause raised ALT. Her levels …
